Description:
PC 190723 is an antibiotic compound that exhibits potent antibacterial activity against a wide range of bacterial strains. It is effective against MRSA and Enterococcus faecium, which are antibiotic-resistant strains. PC 190723 has been shown to have minimal toxicity in vivo and in vitro assays. This drug also has the potential to be a drug target for antimicrobial resistance, as it inhibits the production of energy by the bacteria through transfer reactions with its redox potentials. PC 190723 was also found to inhibit the growth of Gram-positive bacteria and had no effect on Gram-negative bacteria, which may be due to its homologous binding sites.
